At Nina’s there are two. The self service laundromat covers washing, drying, detergent from the vending machine, and Nina’s Wash Club discounts. The commercial laundry service collects towels, linen, and uniforms from businesses, washes, dries, and folds them, and returns them, priced by weight from $5 per kilo with an 8 kg minimum and frequency and volume discounts available. We do not offer dry cleaning or household drop-off. For dry clean only items, there is a dry cleaner a few doors from our store that we are happy to recommend.

Yes, for businesses. We collect from and deliver to salons, barbers, gyms, myotherapy and massage clinics, laser skin care studios, day spas, and end of trip facilities across Melbourne and the northern suburbs from our Northcote base. Household washing is self service in store.

Yes. Self service means you wash and dry during your visit and leave with everything done, usually in around an hour and a half. With the store open until midnight, you can fit it in after work rather than waiting days for a turnaround.

In the commercial laundry service, yes: we only use detergents that are odour free and hypoallergenic, which matters for towels and linen that touch a client’s skin. In the self service store you choose your own detergent, either brought from home or bought from the vending machine.

Families get the best value from the 27 kg machine: one $15 express cycle holds about six baskets, the same as three 9 kg loads that would cost $18 and take three machines. Nina’s Wash Club takes $1 off washers 1 to 3 and $2 off washers 4 to 6, and adds $5 for every $50 preloaded. Businesses on the commercial service receive frequency and volume discounts on the per kilo rate.

Residential customers pay per machine in store, from $6 for a 9 kg express wash to $17 for a 27 kg super wash, plus $1 per five or six minutes of drying. Commercial customers pay by weight, from $5 per kilo with an 8 kg minimum per collection, with pickup and delivery built in. The two are priced differently because the commercial service includes labour, folding, and transport.

Debit or credit card at the Bubblepay kiosk at the back of the store, card payment by scanning the QR code on the machine with your phone, or cash and coins.

Nina’s Laundrette is at 267 St George’s Road, Northcote, within easy reach of Thornbury, Fairfield, Preston, Clifton Hill, and East Brunswick. We are open from 6:00 AM until midnight, seven days a week, including public holidays.
